Qasimi Spring-Summer 26: The Geography of Memory

Corso di Porta Ticinese, Milan

The starting point is the Milanese cloisters of Sant’Eustorgio, but Hoor Al Qasimi takes guests much further. For the Spring-Summer 2026 collection, Qasimi chose to collaborate with London-based Lebanese designer Dala Nasser, emphasising the essence of dialogue and cultural exchange that has always distinguished the brand. But there’s more, because this collection marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of the founder and brother, Khalid Al Qasimi. For this reason, the Spring Summer show pays homage to the brand’s origins with the colours beige, brown and sand, and plays with the concept of memory and legacy, even through its choice of materials.

Thanks to its ability to mould and retain creases, nylon memory becomes a key fabric in the collection, with garments such as shirts and trouser suits with a crumpled effect. Similarly, parade jackets that look like raw fabrics, but actually require extensive processing, and recall Khalid Al Qasimi’s first steps with clothes made from salvaged materials. From nostalgia to fusion, Dala Nasser’s influence can be found in the loose thread finishes and dye-embellished embroideries, sweaters and undershirts with loose, almost loose knits embellished with pearls and appliqués. The symbol of the collaboration is found in crocheted keychains, which models wear attached to their pants or even as necklaces, and which take on the shapes of imaginary creatures.

Hoor Al Qasimi and Dala Nasser’s ideas are thus layered into looks where overlapping plays a central role: foot-length shirts open up over soft pants; multi-pocket vests are juxtaposed with white shirts and cargo pants. The standout pieces of the collection are jackets: unstructured, with zippers on the shoulders, cuts at the waist that divide the garment materially and visually, adding softness and length. Jackets with a smooth and serious silhouette, others enriched with four pockets. From a utility perspective, pockets take centre stage in Qasimi’s Spring Summer 26 collection, there isn’t a single piece where they aren’t welcome: t-shirts, jackets, pants and shirts. Qasimi’s journey ends with the models lining up around a circular structure adorned with fluttering fabric scraps, in a collective embrace between past and present, far and near, conclusion and new beginnings.

Among the guests at the fashion show were: Antonio Modugno and Federica Balzano, Ludovica Meral Frasca, Matthew Zorpas, Lukas Amador, Kyler Gordon and Beatrice Marchetti.
